Zlatan (commission)

Hurrah, here it is! I completed this painting last month, but only now have I finally logged in to submit it.  
It's my first finished piece in nine months (!), my first commission, and my first painted dog -- surprise surprise, it's not a horse. Really happy with the finished work and so was my client, so yay. What actually gave me most trouble was the grass, but it was only because I initially insisted on making it as detailed as possible only to realize that it was unnecessary. The pose may look slightly strange, since in the reference photo the dog is pulling on a leash, which my client and I agreed to leave out. And of course, this looks a lot better in "real life" than it does in the photo, but I tried my best in the editing process.
