Wut? Fan art again, Free Filly?
Don't get me wrong -- I enjoy doing fan art, I really do! It's just that I've never finished two consecutive paintings, both of which are fan art for the same series; so I'm kinda surprised at myself.
runs a weekly mini-theme challenge, and this was meant for one of them: the theme for the week Jan. 13 - Jan. 20 was cherry blossoms, and because I'm a sucker for cherry blossoms this was something that I couldn't imagine missing!
Unfortunately, though, that same week I had exams, and so had to spend most of my time studying instead.
Even if the week this was suppose to be due has long past, I went on to finish it. After all, I was really happy with how it was turning out (I'm even happier with the finished work), and didn't want to give up on it just then! Plus, it was nice to depict another of my favorite Digimon
characters for a change -- other than Taichi, that is.
For those of you who are a little baffled, Biyomon's name begins with a P
instead of a B
in the original Japanese (her name in fact comes from the onomatopoeia for a bird's tweeting).
The little birds featured here are called the Japanese White-eye (known as mejiro
in Japan). They may not look perfect... but at least I tried!
By the way, how many can you spot?
