HAPPY BIRTHDAY !

Since times haven't been going smooth for her lately, I thought a surprise birthday gift would make her feel a little better!
This is her original horse character, Torrence. I hope I got his markings right, and I'm not sure I managed to get his grulla colour through. I'm afraid I made him look more gray than grulla.
Also, I somewhat wish I gave this a more original background, but because time was running short -- and I hadn't painted a real background in ages -- I decided to stick with something familiar. I took into consideration an abstract background, but thought that I ought to regain the habit of giving proper backgrounds to my paintings. Abstract backgrounds are fun, but there's the danger that they might get a little boring over time, and it sort of would be like running on a treadmill in terms of branching out and trying to paint other things.

Now, enough with the description. I hope you like it, Celleno, and that you had a great time on your big day!! I had to decide between Torrence and your other OC, Cloud, but chose Torrence in the end because I adore his colour! 8D
Oh yeah, and about that flying bird on the top left... it's just there. But whether it's by coincidence or not, I think it nicely emphasizes Torrence's freedom in the field.
